B22-0684 - Blighted Property Redevelopment Amendment Act of 2018
As introduced, this bill authorizes the Mayor to reclassify blighted vacant properties as vacant properties when provided with evidence that a property owner will meet the vacant property definition prior to final inspection. It also establishes the criteria used to determine that a vacant building is not a blighted vacant building.

As introduced, this bill creates a nonrefundable individual income tax credit for charitable donations in support of public education in the District of Columbia. B22-0617 - Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program Enhancement Amendment Act of 2017

As introduced, this bill establishes a new program in the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the Reverse Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program. The program will provide financial assistance in the form of a zero interest loan to seniors who meet the eligibility requirements. The max amount that can be provided to a single homeowner over a five year period is $50,000.

B21-0662 - Public Housing Rehabilitation Amendment Act of 2016
As introduced, this bill establishes a fund to support the rehabilitation of public housing units, the Public Housing Rehabilitation Fund. The fund shall consist of annual appropriations, unobligated funds remaining in the Rent Supplement Fund at the end of every fiscal year, interest accrued by the fund, and any other funds received by the District for the repair, rehabilitation, or renovating public housing. The bill requires the District of Columbia Housing Authority to submit a comprehensive report to the Council each year regarding its use of the Fund.

B21-0527 - Vacant and Blighted Buildings Enforcement Amendment Act of 2015
As introduced, this bill requires that the classification of a building as vacant or blighted continues until the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) approves a change in classification; it sets up standards necessary to avoid a vacant property classification such as submitting evidence that demonstrates that the owner has been actively seeking in good faith to rent or sell it. DCRA is required to maintain and publish a list of buildings that are registered as, or have been determined to be, vacant or blighted vacant buildings.

B21-0412 - Solar Energy Amendment Act of 2015
Electricity suppliers who operate in the District are required to pay fees if they fail to comply with the applicable renewable energy portfolio standards for each year. As introduced, this bill establishes that the current compliance fee amount of 50 cents per kilowatt-hour of shortfall from required solar energy sources, shall remain in effect until 2023. Currently, the fee amount is scheduled to be reduced incrementally. The bill also permits monies contained in the Renewable Energy Development Fund to be used to assist households making less than the area median income for the District of Columbia Metropolitan area.
